With 15 faculties, 5 institutes, 4 vocational schools and 12 vocational schools, Pamukkale University trains young contemporary, competent, creative and entrepreneurial minds who need both Turkey and the world in the fields of medicine, engineering, economics, natural sciences, social sciences, visual arts, education sciences and technical training. The University of Pamukkale, which constitutes the modern environment of education and services with all faculties and social institutions on campus and sites in the districts, is making steady and rapid progress to become an international research university. The university has adopted the principles of “cooperation, globalization and global quality management,” which are the magic words of our time. The university attaches great importance to the exchanges of international students and teachers and, in this sense, has signed bilateral cooperation agreements with many countries around the world in the context of projects such as Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana and Leonardo and has been included in the top 100 of the 100 EU universities in terms of ranking mobility among the 3600 universities in EU countries. PAU Technocity, which provides scientific solutions to the region`s current problems while contributing to the industry`s research and development activities, serves as publications, patents and research results. It offers its students internationally valid diploma opportunities through accredited inter-university programs, in addition to becoming a member of the European University Association, it has a modern infrastructure and a library that provides national and international databases and electronic journals for the use of its students and academics. The University of Pamukkale, where a scientific activity takes place almost daily (congress, symposium, panel, interview) and a concert, is a university that produces basic solutions to the basic needs of students, such as housing, food and health, and which enjoys full support from the city in which it is located. Naci Polat works as an associate professor at the Faculty of Tourism at Pamukkale University (Turkey) with a specialization in tourism management and sustainability. He completed his master`s degree in development policy, focusing on non-governmental organizations at the University of Bremen, with a focus on climate protection in the aviation sector and its policy instruments. He received his Doctorate in Management from the University of Dumlupnar (Turkey).

As a Jean Monnet Fellow of the European Union, he has researched the ecological management and auditing system (EMAS) at the University of Trier (Germany). In the first semester of 2017, he worked as a visiting professor at the University of Jaen (Spain). He has researched accessible tourism with sustainability indicators at IMOB in Belgium and taught at Jaen University from 2015 to 2017. He made observations in both Belgium and Spain regarding accessible tourism and the management of cultural heritage. In terms of technical and social capacities, he will be close to his research and project skills to create new ways of thinking about tourism for cultural heritage sites, such as Pamukkale (Turkey) and other European regions, which maintain well-developed social relations with various stakeholders for the management of cultural projects, augmented/virtual reality in the culture and digital narrative of intangible cultural heritage.
